In general, yes. See below for details.
Imaging exams performed at UCM's Orland Park facility are interpreted by UCM's local Radiology Department and the images are stored in the same hospital image archive as the exams performed at the Hyde Park campus. Requesting copies of exams performed at Orland Park is no different than requesting any other type of exam.
Imaging exams performed at Silver Cross are not automatically available in the UCM image archive, but the HIRO is generally able to retrieve copies of these exams by initiating a direct image transfer. This mechanism will import a copy of the desired exam(s) directly into the UCM image archive where the HIRO can retrieve and process the images using our standard methods. You can request copies of Silver Cross exams via a standard HIRO image data request. When requesting Silver Cross exams, please include as much information as possible, including the Silver Cross accession number if available. These exams are considered "outside" exams, so please indicate this in your image data requests (a note in the comments stating the exams are from Silver Cross would be helpful as well). Please allow extra time for the HIRO to process requests for Silver Cross exams, as the image transfer process takes additional time and is subject to the workloads of UCM and Silver Cross staff.
Beginning in 2023, imaging exams performed at Ingalls are generally automatically available in the UCM image archive. Requesting copies of exams performed at Ingalls should be no different than requesting any other type of exam. When requesting Ingalls exams, please include as much information as possible, including the accession number if available. These exams are considered "outside" exams, so please indicate this in your image data requests (a note in the comments stating the exams are from Ingalls would be helpful as well).
Imaging exams performed at Advent Hospitals (like LaGrange, Hinsdale, etc.) are not currently automatically available in the UCM image archive. You will need to request a copy of the desired scans directly from the appropriate hospital. Once the copy arrives, you should follow the standard process for importing images from an outside hospital.
