HIRO plays role in recent PBS documentary!

Professor Paul Sereno and his team recently unearthed fossilized human remains that are over 8,000 years old in the Gobero region of the Sahara Desert. To assist in examining this historic discovery, Prof. Sereno worked with radiologist Christopher Straus and the HIRO to perform extremely detailed high-resolution CT scans of these ancient skeletons. The discovery and subsequent investigations, including the CT scanning process, are the focus of a recent National Geographic/PBS NOVA Special titled "Skeletons of the Sahara." The documentary originally aired nationwide for the first time on September 25, 2013. Be sure to check out the HIRO in action!
