The services provided by the HIRO's Image Analysis Team can be found below. These services are primarily related to the interpretation and measurement of research scans/exams. The costs associated with these services can be found on our fee schedule.

This service provides researchers with a customized "Research Analysis Report" that provides additional information regarding a research-related scan that is required for the research study or clinical trial but is not normally found in a standard radiologist report. This might include specialized interpretation requirements as well as consistent comparisons between baseline and follow-up scans. The Research Analysis Report is generated by the HIRO's research radiologist and is customized to the needs of the research protocol. This type of analysis might include volume measurements, lesion measurements, or other types of quantitative measurements (other than tumor measurements).
Some clinical trials require an imaging-based baseline profile for subjects that are being screened for or enrolled in the trial. The HIRO's research radiologist is able to provide this analysis for clinical trials when required.
The HIRO provides support for the University of Chicago Comprehensive Cancer Center's Yunu imaging assessment platform. If your cancer clinical trial has budgeted to utilize the Yunu platform, the HIRO will assist with granting access to the members of your team and setting up the trial within the platform.
